Vic Ferrer

Owner/Producer

Bio

Vic Ferrer, inspired by the LGBT equal-rights movement of the early 1990s, began his career producing and editing short-form videos to support the movement. His work evolved to include fundraising pieces for nonprofits during the AIDS crisis, before transitioning to producing for major brands like The Gap and Cisco Systems. Over the next 15 years, Ferrer became one of the Bay Area’s busiest freelance video editors. In the early 2000s, he produced and edited “Open Book,” a literary news show for A&E Television. In 2006, he established The Producer’s Loft Studio in San Francisco’s culture-rich Mission District.

Ferrer’s strong work ethic stems from his family’s migrant farmworker background and their journey to achieve the American dream, eventually becoming a family of school teachers. This legacy of perseverance continues to influence his work today. Beyond his commercial success, Ferrer remains committed to activism and community support, providing affordable studio access to artists, nonprofits, and independent creators. He is also passionate about preserving historic pipe organs, producing documentaries on the subject, and co-founding Friends of the Exposition Organ whose purpose is to guard San Francisco’s heroic 40-ton pipe organ from destruction and bring it back to community enjoyment.
